Otts v. C.O.M.P.A.S.S.

Settled

Plaintiff contends that Defendant Care Options Management Plans and Supportive Services, LLC (“COMPASS”) failed to reimburse her and all other Direct Care staff members for all mileage expenses incurred in the course of their employment that COMPASS failed to provide her and all other Direct Care staff members with accurate wage statements in violation of California law.  The Amended Complaint further states a cause of action for civil penalties under the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) against both COMPASS and the individual defendants, Eric Hess, Sadie Hess, and Joanne McCarley.

The parties have reached a classwide settlement for mileage expenses and the Court granted preliminary approval of that settlement on September 25, 2014 and final approval on January 9, 2015.
